Initial Summary:   

Firefighter Price was attending a function with his volunteer fire department serving as driver/operator on one of the department's engines.

While standing by with his apparatus, Firefighter Price suffered an apparent heart attack.

CPR was administered immediately and throughout transport to the hospital.

He never regained consciousness and was pronounced at the hospital.
