Does anyone know why we heard the emergency siren (the city wide *bomb* siren) in White Plains last night around 3:44am. I am not sure what they use these sirens for these days.

Sure that wasn't the North White Plains FD Sirens??......EMS Call 3:40 am last night.

The sirens you heard were probably from North White Plains Fire Dept. Our old civil defense sirens are no longer in service the one by George Washington Elementary school is no longer there.
