Does it say FDNY on the rear cab door of Engine 126's rig??

I would assume if it does, it has something to do with 9/11. Anyone have any info on this?

Yes it does. Thats LACoFD E126. Most LACoFD and LAFD companies have some sort of memorial sticker for the firefighters who lost their lives in 9/11. Here are some other examples:
