Question from a Newbie

1 post in this topic

Hey all. I'm a newbie to this Forum, although I've visited this site many times and admired the photos since last year.

My question is, and perhaps this is better suited in another forum, does anybody have any photos/memories/thoughts on the Ford Crown Victoria's immediate predecessor, the LTD Crown Victoria? I realize that it may sound silly, but the car has sentimental value to me. My Grandfather drove a cab in New York for 40 years and that was his last cab, a 1984 LTD Crown Vic. I never saw the car in Taxi Guise, but I still remember it. It had been repainted blue, I even remember the plate numbers, 778 something.

My reason for asking if this is better suited for another forum is because I also wondered if anybody had any photos of the thing serving as a Chief's Car. I've seen ones from Massachusetts, Suffern, and Tappan, and I've seen it in Police Guise for the Towns of New Castle and Mount Pleasant, but not other local jurisdictions. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
