What is the best?

OK so im going to get a digital scanner. I know nothing about scanning but i do know that the town of greenwich ct is going to switch over to a digital system.

I want to know what you guys think is the best digital scanner on the market. and dose anyone know how to program for the new digital system greenwich is putting in??

I have a 1000 channel Radio Shack portable 800mhz trunked radio I picked up for $175.00 only thing I dont like about it is its range since its a handheld. It even recharges the batteries internally and I would reccomend it for short ranges but not as a home scanner unless you upgrade antennas
