Ford C's in Westchester?

7 posts in this topic

Perhaps this is more appropriate for across the way, but, I'm wondering who ran (runs) Ford C model's. I know North White Plains runs twins, so does Pound Ridge. Who else?

Thanks.

Ford C's currently in service to the best of my knowledge:

E57 Scarsdale

E111 Pound Ridge

E290 Thornwood

Continental Village had or still has a C Engine

Past apparatus I recall:

R14 Ossining

E205, E206 Mount Vernon

E65 White Plains

A lot of apparatus pictures can be viewed at LFD171's website. Pictures can be viewed by Department or brand. Great site.

Thanks SteveOFD! No North White Plains? Ah well.

If I may be nosy, which company in OFD? I ask only because Monitor was kind enough to have after their parade some months ago (with Nyack)?

Thanks.

N. White Plains still have the two C's you mentioned in the original post. Ossining Fire Police had the C Rescue.

Katonah's old Rescue 17 was a C  1964 replaced in 1999

As memory recalls and KatonahFD.org states in its History page "1964", 1965 GMC Rescue truck was delivered.
