where did the ems 1200 money(fereral funding)GOback in 1974 to 1981when the federal goverment was giving out money beacus of the highway safety act of 1966

Good question. I attempted to look for some kind of info on where it went for a paper for college with no success. As far as I know most of it went into the establishment of WMC becoming a level I trauma center, which if you read the history of the medical center most of their biggest leaps into speciality care were all around that time frame.

One thing is for sure, looking at the state of the EMS communication systems and frequencies in the county, Westchester didn't get any of it to sink into EMS. I also believe it was the EMSS (Emergency Medical Services System) Act of 1973 that earmarked the 1200 funding.
