Mayor Phil Amicone will administer the oath of office and Hartness will speak during the 10 a.m. ceremony at the Yonkers Riverfront Library.

The new commissioner will be joined by several family members, friends and former colleagues from the New York City Police Department along with dignitaries from the city of Yonkers.

Amicone appointed Hartnett in October to succeed retiring Police Commissioner Robert Taggart.
