approx 2130 hrs male driving honda civic rear ended a beeline bus in vicinity of Hudson River Museum. Bus was the slinky type with the 2 passenger compartments. Male trapped in vehicle removed by YFD. StatFlight was called by Empress but could not respond due to mechanical problem. LZ was going to be JFK Marina. 4pct Lt on scene req detectives, accident investigator, and crime scene unit. Victim removed to Westchester Medical Center by Empress in critical condition. Vehicle apparently wrapped around bus. A/I still on scene post 2330 hrs. Bus driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Joes. There were passengers on the bus...no injuries reported.
