10 snagged for drunken driving in Port Chester

PORT CHESTER - Ten people were charged with drunken driving during a checkpoint that ended early this morning in Port Chester.

Westchester County Police said they ran the six-hour checkpoint at Putnam and Hillside avenues with the assistance of Port Chester police.

Cars were stopped at the intersection from 10 p.m. yesterday to 4 a.m. today.

The 10 drivers were charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
