Small plane crashes after aborting takeoff at Westchester County Airport

HARRISON - A single-engine plane crashed today at Westchester County Airport after the pilot aborted his takeoff.

The small plane slid off runway 29 and struck trees and a fence.

The pilot, a 54-year-old man from Amagansett on Long Island, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

His plane, a 2001 TB-20 Trinidad, was totaled.

Glad to see it was a relatively minor incident with no significant injuries or deaths.
