Location: Croton Fire / Elmore Avenue (Cross of Darby)

Frequency: 46.26 / 46.04

Units Operating: 2081, E118

Description Of Incident: When returning from another alarm, E118 was special called by 2081 for a Public Assist. Units arrived to find an unusual incident at hand. The homeowner's dog was laying atop an older cast iron radiator, and during the excitement of all the "trick or treaters" got her paw and leg stuck in the radiator. The dog was laying on the floor, and her leg was pinned between 2 coils of the radiator. The crew of E118 used the Holmatro Hand-Powered Combi-Tool, 2 Halligans and a ratchet to free the dog. The homeowners transported their Canine Companion to an area Animal Hospital for treatment. Overall, the crew on scene did an excellent job, and the homeowners and dog were grateful. =D> =D>
