Fatal motorycle accident on Cross County in Yonkers, eastbound lanes still closed

Police say the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident on the Cross County Parkway this morning was a 33-year-old man from the Bronx.

His identity has not been released and details of the crash remain unclear, though accident investigators spent the better part of the morning on the scene. No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries resulted.

All eastbound lanes of the parkway have been reopened as of about noon after they were closed in the vicinity of Yonkers Avenue for a while longer. The accident occurred between 8:30 and 9 a.m.
