Ansonia- Working Fire 12/30/07

Location: 104 Westfield Avenue

Frequency: 156.1875 / 46.200

Units Operating: E-4, E-1, E-3, TL-7, S-9, Chiefs 22, 23, 25, Derby FD RIT, ARMS Ambulance

Description Of Incident: Box 671 sounded for reported structure fire at 104 Westfield Avenue. First on scene unit reporting working structure fire on first floor of a 2 1/2 story 2 family home. Engine 4 hit the hydrant and streched a 1 3/4 line into the first floor. Truck 7 had front of the building, E-1 came in off Burton Street and E-3 & Squad 9 came in off Division Street. Fire was quickly knocked down and under control in 20 minutes. One firefighter received facial injuries and was transported to Griffin Hospital. Occupant from house was also transported. Another firefighter was reported to also have glass struck his face and had it flushed out (only info that I have by a third party).

This was the second working structure fire in Ansonia's westside today. (I MPO'ed E-4 at this one)
