Reflective Taping your POV

15 posts in this topic

Who here puts reflective taping on there POV? Whether its the bumper, the inside of your car doors, or where ever? Does anyone feel it is necessary to have it if your involved with the emergency services? I have 2 pieces of reflective tape on the inside of my car doors, so if I leave it open at night while doing something no one will take off the doors... (at least I hope not......)

I've put it on my tow hitch but I have it on my snowmoblie trailer on all sides

Close your door, or just go to the house.

DFFD227, I never leave my doors open but, I usually leave the trunk open after I take out my gear.

I've taken lime-green Scotchlite helmet reflective strips and trapezoids and also, a couple of Glo-Flex maltese crosses ( 4" by 4")

and set-up a warning "display" on the inside of the trunk door and sills. Some have called it overdone, anal, "too loud" . All I know is that everyone can see my car from 1/2 mile away at night.

I 've done a big warning triangle in the middle using the strips and lined the sides with trapezoids. Hey, it works for me! Hope I was able to help you some. Being seen at night is a top priority !

DFFD227, YOU'RE SHOT! haha

I must confess... I do have a 1/2 inch gold reflective stripe on the tailgate of my pick up. Not cause I am buff, well that too.... But the better visible you are the safer you are.

That goes for fire calls and just normal driving conditions.

Remember585 does not need any reflective stripes.

He has 20 strobes and LEDs. "Officer, I was run off the road

by a UFO, I swear"
