1231hrs- Box 66-71-1810 3859 10th Ave. 4 engines, 2 trucks, squad, Rescue 3 assigned due to numerous calls. L-36 transmitting 10-75. First due co's: E-95, L-36, B-13.

1238hrs- B-13 using all-hands for a fire in 2 -story 50X75 comm.

Exp. #1- street (with elevated subway)

Exp. #2- 5 -story brick OMD attached

Exp. #3- 5 foot alley to a 1-1/2 story parking garage

Exp. #4- 2 story attached taxpayer

S/C -extra Engine (93) and Truck (46) TLadder 33 is F.A.S.T.

1241hrs- 2nd Alarm B-13 req. urgent 2nd Alarm for heavy fire conditions on 2nd floor of 2 story mattress warehouse/store with fire starting to burn through the roof.

1250hrs- Heavy fire thru roof. 1 tower ladder in op. I/F/O. Exposure problems on 2 and 4 sides. Numerous lines in operation.

1259hrs- 3rd Alarm transmitted by Div. 7 for heavy fire conditions in main fire building with extension.

1310hrs- Lines being stretched to top of rear parking garage. TL-44 directed to W.206th St. side to set up in rear corner. Reports of a missing firefighter.

1111hrs- 4th Alarm transmitted by Div. 7, now has fire on 1st-2nd and 3rd floors of exposure #2 (5-story OMD) Still heavy fire in original building, burning front to rear.

1314hrs- Units (incl. Rescue 3) searching 2nd floor of orig. fire building to search for missing firefighter. New F.A.S.T. team reporting to front of building. Shutting down TL in front. B-33 responding to Floyd Bennett Field to meet NYPD Avation.

1318hrs- EMS to report to front of building to be ready to remove firefighter.

1320hrs- All exterior operations halted. Roll calls being conducted.

1324hrs- Firefighter removed from building in cardiac arrest and transported to Columbia-Presb. Hospital with heavy police escort.

1335hrs- Exterior ops resumed on original fire building. 2 L/S/O in rear, 1 on roof of exp. 2 and 2 TL's in op. I/F/O

1340hrs- Co's setting up multi-versal at 10th Ave at W. 206th St.

1348hrs- Car 4 S/C (3) additional trucks above 4th Alarm (L-49, L-34, TL-17) to report to staging area at 10th Ave at W.205th St. B-12 is staging chief.

1400hrs- B-33 enroute with NYPD Aviation

1429hrs- Car 4 req. S/C (2) additional engines above 4th Alarm (E-69/74). Releasing Aviation.

1439hrs- Progress Report #3 from Field Comm. (2) tower ladders in op. in front, (1) tower ladder in op. on exp #2 side (TL-44), 1 line in op in rear, 1 line in op on exp #4. Fire K/D on all floors of exp. #2. Fire in original fire building is starting to darken down. Still heavy smoke conditions.

1500hrs- S/C Dewatering Unit and Marine Units large volume pump.

UPDATE- 1 FF died while conducting Search and Rescue operations when he was seperated from his crew and collapsed. The firefighter was 30-year-old Thomas Brick from Ladder 36 who was on the job for 2 years. He was in the first graduating class after the September 11 attack.
