Time: 1013 hrs.

Location: 198 Selleck Street, cross street Betts Avenue - The Salvation Army building

Frequency: Stamford Trunked; Primary Fire, Fireground 1

Units Operating: Unit #4 (DC), E-3, E-2, E-5, T-3, R-1, E-1 (RIT), Unit #6 (Safety), FM-106, Unit #121 (Mech. Div.); SEMS M-1; SPD.

Description Of Incident: Basement fire in a 2 story ordinary commercial building with extension to the #1 floor. Handlines stretched to basement and first floor. Fire stopped at the first floor. Extensive overhaul involved by all companies. Fire is under investigation. SEMS stood by at staging. PD on scene for traffic control. No reported injuries.

1013 hrs: Full box assignement for a telephone report of a smoke condition in the basement of an occupied commercial structure. U-4, E-3, E-2, E-5, T-3, and R-1 assigned.

1018 hrs: E-3 on scene investigating. Follow up report of a smoke condition in the basement.

1025 hrs: Fire Marshal Office called to scene by IC.

1026 hrs: PD called to scene for traffic control by IC.

1027 hrs: E-3 reports fire in basement walls and ceiling.

1030 hrs: E-1 assigned as the RIT.

1047 hrs: IC requesting Mechanical Division to the scene for air cylinders.

1116 hrs: IC transmitted recall, fire under control, holding all companies.

1156 hrs: E-3 and T-3 cleared the scene (final fire companies).

1234 hrs: FM-106 cleared the scene.
