South Salem Fire - 1/29/05

Here's a rundown.

BHFD Units: 2031, 2032, 2033, TL57, 203FAST

GBFD Units: 2142, E140, T1

Vista Units: T4

WCDES: C&O Team 5, 1405

LVAC: 67B2

Fire in condo complex.

PRFD Units relocated to SSFD HQ: 2402, 2404, E113.

Address is 71 Winterberry Circle in The Meadows off of Route 35.

As of this writing, units reported a fire in the kitchen area, apparently knocked down. Companies are venting and checking for extension. E140 at a dry hydrant and Tankers staged at Route 35 & The Meadows.

This was an end unit in the meadows condo complex in Cross River... The fires origin was in the kitchen with heavy damage in that area.... extention in the walls to the second floor and attic.

It was contained quickly first with an ABC extiguisher off the first ariving engine while a line was being pulled. The remaining fire was knocked down quickly by the first line in.

The first crew in did a great job with this one...great job South Salem and all mutual aid companies.
