Dispatched as smoke billowing out of windows of 3rd floor apartment. Turned out to be a hot plate left on with food on top. The occupant forgot to turn it off and went out.

Units on location: E118,E119,TL44, R18

Well, when I'm sitting at work listening to the call - I tend to notice response times as well as other happenings with the call. I'm not trying to toot our own horns, but a little recognition, even from your own guys isn't a bad thing.

There's nothing wrong with complementing your own dept. Too many times, good things go unrealized and members don't get recognized for achievements.

Funny you ask, 2372....

E120, which is from that firehouse around the corner is OOS at Excelsior.

R18, also from that house, was at my station on the north end.

E119 was first in from the north end, probably because CPD dispatched a single engine first for an inside smoke call. #-o

E118 responded via Benedict Blvd (south), hydrants there are on a different main than those on South Riverside, north of Benedict. Decision was made prior to response since we knew 119 had a straight shot down Riverside and 120 being OOS. We were aware of the water main runs because of foam incident planning (for the gas stations).

1975 Mack CF600 "Engine 130" was lime green 1975 to 1985! :D

Refurbed in 1985 to Red / White.

It was sold in 2001, We now have a 2000 E-One Cyclone II

Mack is simply the best ever made but I agree....

Fire Trucks RED!
