Are they going to be changing the dispatch frequencies which they currently operate off of now, or will they be staying with the current frequencies??

So when you call them on the air you won't call them "40 Control"? What will they be called? Putnam-911 kind of akin to Dutchess?

You would think that "Control" (How the deputies addressed dispatch) would become P-911 and 40 Control(Used primarily by the fire and ems units) would stay the same call sign.

What difference does it make? The sheriff's dispatchers were always called "control" too. "Control to PC 7." What's in a name?

Now that that's done. Perhaps they will look at getting money to upgrade to a modern radio system, they have some UHF in place. Putnam is at a pivotal point to keep it all together before agencies start going out on their own and they are small enough to do it right. If they don't let the opportunities on a county level to maintain and keep it together.

No difference whatsoever, I just liked how it rolled out, "40 Control, this is XX-X-X"

The new Radio Designator will be Putnam-911. It looks like the roll out will be pushed back to Tuesday 2/22 to avoid the holiday weekend.

The Dispatching staff has been in training this week to learn the new Medical Priorities Dispatch System and the Pro-QA compouter system. The new CAD system will be loaded in about 2 weeks. A lot of details are still being worked on.

The Dispatchers will include 3 transfereing over from the PCSD, 1 re-hire (Look out Brewwwwster-Sandy's Back), 4 new full time hires and several part timers.

We hope for a smooth transfer so please work with us. We will be a warm and fuzzy center as our new supervisor says

EJS1810 AKA 40-303 AKA ?????????????
