5 years ago today the FDNY lost 3 firefighters at 2 separate fires. The 1st fire in the Bronx, a third-alarm fire in a an apartment building at 236 East 178th Street in the Tremont section of the Bronx took the lives of Lt. Curtis Meyran & Fr. John Bellew both of Ladder 27 and seriously injured other members.

The second fire in Brooklyn, a second alarm box at Box 1770 577 Jerome Ave took the life of Fr. Rich Sclafani of Lad. Co 103. Today we remember and mourn the loss of these 3 brave men as well as our continued prayers for this that suffered life changing injures on this day.
