Departments with FAST/RIT Teams?

6 posts in this topic

Just out of curious, which Westchester FD's have either a FAST or RIT team. I know in Pleasantville we have a FAST team consisting of members from all of our companies. The equipment is kept on Rescue 47.

Croton Fd has a fast team with members from all companies. Engine 119 is assigned as the Fast engine with engine 118 as the backup. We use engines since we have more then 1.

We too have more than one engine (3 first due and 1 second due). Our FAST equipment is on the rescue because it has the extra room. It also gives us something to check for house duty!

We have the team but it is not very active. Our current chiefs are working to change this. They are doing drills and members are taking FAST more often. It is a work in progress, but the county does recognize us as having a FAST team.

Mount Kisco FD has a FAST Team. It consists of members from all companies. The team uses Utility 13 with Engine 106 as backup. Both are stationed at Station 3 (Independent Fire Co.) The U-13 and E-106 both can sit 10 ff's and both are equiped for FAST.
