Looks like a great stop. How did the fire start? In picture 1 is that a department ATV or the homeowners? Horns for yard decorations? Is that necessary?tongue.gif

In the 3rd photo it looks like water coming out of a 2nd floor window. Were guys in there making a push?

The first handline came off the truck and went into the side door towards the fire room which was the kitchen in the back of the house (where the hose spray is comming from). The second handline was into the basement where the fire started and the third line went up to the second floor. We had a forth line off but I'm not sure where it was deployed. The mutual aid companys helped with pulling walls and ceilings and hitting the hot spots. The village of fishkill tried to shore up the floor between the basement and first floor but with all the beams burned thru it was almost impossible.

I'm wondering if the fire started on the exterior? Where the suspected wood stove passed through the exterior wall maybe. What kind of windows? Kinda looks like old single pane windows that fail much quicker but probably make the push easier because they self vent. What's everyone's thought's with the first line holding the first floor and keeping the basement door shut and the second line comming in from the exterior grade level. The type of stairs to most basements make decending them to a well involved basement a real dangerous task.

I'm not Monday morning QBing because this looks like a sucessfull injury free stop.

The door from the first floor inside the house was kept closed and the outside windows and doors to the basement were burned clean away upon arival. This fire was burning for a while before we got there. Although it looks like the fire was totally on the outside it went up the thru walls into the second floor bedroom. The basement attack was made thru the outside door that was burned off. The basement was a separate apartment although it was the same family
