HT1250 with corrupted codeplug

8 posts in this topic

After programming my HT1250, it now has a corrupted codeplug

I can't write to the radio or read from the radio.

Is there any last resort measures I can take?

Send back to Motorola

They want 200 dollars to repair it

I paid 190 for the radio

I'll just buy another radio

Did you ask google?

Google says there is Synthesizer Unlocked or something and that it needs to be repaired by a professional. This means paying money to get it fixed.

My local Public safety dealer is like 100 dollars an hour and Motorola want's a 200 dollar flat fee.

There is a couple of guys on eBay who claim they can fix it for around 45-50 dollars flat.

Still it's more cost effective to buy a new (used) one.

Anybody interested in a good condition HT1250 LS+ for parts radio with a brand new battery?

What message are you getting on the screen when powering up the radio? Is it an EEPROM CS ERROR?

Were you able to fix it, on your own?

Nope. I'm not going to put any more moneys into this radio. I would rather enjoy a new Yaesu vx-8r for the amount of money I need to put into this thing to make it work. No more commercial radios for me.

It does look cool on my desk, though.

So are you selling it or are you going to let it sit on your desk while it collects dust and looks cool? :P

If your selling it please get me a price/ pics and the following information.

1. Take the battery off and let me know the serial number (ex: 134GGH123), tanapa number (ex. PMUE1405C), VER. NO. (ex. 05.05.09) and model number (ex: AAH25RDH9AA5AN)

2. Is this an HT1250 from the US Waris? Or is it a chinese/euro (gp360/gp380) knock off recased in a ht1250 shell?

Thanks.

I forgot to mention, it's a LS+
