Sleepy Hollow Fire Dept. - 2010 Tahoe Chief's Truck

1 post in this topic

Specialty Warning Systems recently delivered a new 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe to the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department, replacing one of the existing Chief's response vehicles. Located on the shore of the Hudson in Westchester County, Sleepy Hollow was made famous in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, by Washington Irvine, which tells the story of the Headless Horseman.

Based on the Police Package Tahoe, the warning system is 100% LED, incorporating a fully loaded Freedom FX lightbar, red 700 Super LEDs and a six head Dominator behind the front grille. Red/white M4 LEDs were installed on each outer bumper corner for intersection protection and the rear cargo door for additional rear warning. Four LAW HideAway LEDs were also installed in the rear taillights. A Sound Off Signal headlight flasher completed the lighting system while system control is by way of a Whelen 295SLSA6 with single 100 watt (grille mounted) siren speaker.

The 24 inch Havis console contains the Whelen SLSA6 system controller, department and County radios, dual cup holders, 12V power outlets and side mounted armrest. A custom mount for rear portable radio chargers and rechargeable Streamlight was installed in the cargo compartment.

Specialty Warning Systems would like to extend their thanks to the Sleepy Hollow FD for the opportunity to upfit their newest Chief's truck and looks forward to working on additional vehicles with them, in the future.
