Old Millwood Brush fire Jeep & trailer?

5 posts in this topic

All,

I was at a muster in PA today and found a picture of a CJ2A fire Jeep and matching trailer. It was taken in July of 1981 at the old Kensico Dam Muster.

The Jeep is red with a white hood, windshield, and compartments. Im guessing 1947-1950's model year. I can see the red "60 control" plates on it that were on all Westchester County apparatus at the time. It has a 400 or 500 GPM front mounted pump, 4 lengths of suction hose on top(2 4 inch, and 2 2.5 inch Im assuming)

The trailer is a painted red, with a rectangular metal tank with a booster reel on the top.

Does anyone know more about this jeep, if it is still in service, and if not, where it may of gone? Or does anyone have any more pictures of it?

I'l try to get the picture scanned and posted up.

Thanks!

The Jeep is still close to Millwood. It is owned by some former members and although it needs to be restored, all of it's components are with it and it is kept in a garage out of the elements.

Sir,

Is there any chance I could get contact info for someone associated with it? I am restoring one and would love to get some info and take some pictures.

PM me for more details.

Thanks!

Does anyone have pictures of this Jeep that they would be willing post? I'd love to see this rig!
