Port Chester Working Fire - 7/30/10

Frequency: PCFD FG

Units Operating: Engine 58, 63 60 TL2 R40 - E62 placed on standby in quarters per 2391

Building Type: 3.5 Story Balloon Frame, 1st floor commercial storefront / OMD

Description Of Incident:

Initial Dispatch was for an inside smoke investigation. Units found smoke showing and, once entry was made, fire traveling up the exterior walls.

Just before this call came in( at 19:09), a full assignment was sent to the 400 block of Franklin St for heavy smoke from a vacant. Units arrived to find heavy smoke from the chimney & roof. It turned out to be a boiler malfunc on a vacant, all units returned.

While at Subway:

20:05 - Engine 59 ran a mutual aid EMS call to PC/R/RB EMS as all their units were busy

20:38 - Other units were back up to the 400 block of Franklin St for a large dumpster fire in a driveway
