Writer: Tuxedo Fire Department had been battling a brush fire for several days that went subterranean and they coordinated an effort on 8/10/10 with the assistance of three state agencies (NYS OFPC, NYS DEC, and NYS DOCS), Orange County Fire Coordinators, Orange County OEM, Rockland County Fire Coordinators and Helicopter, 13 Fire Departments and 6 EMS agencies. NYS DEC Forrest Rangers along with NYS DOCS Corrections crews will patrol the fire line on 8/11/10.
