Bridgeport - Working Fire - 1/25/11

Units Operating: Battalion 2, Engines 12, 4, 16, 3(RIT), Ladders 5, 10 & 6, Rescue 5, Training 6 (safety officer) Bridgeport AMR

Weather Conditions: Snowing

Description Of Incident: Engine 12 arrived taking a hydrant reporting heavy fire in a 2-1/2 story brick structure, reports of civilian injuries on scene, requesting ambulances. Battalion 2 is command and reporting two residential units on fire, checking third unit. Multiple lines being stretched.

11:30 - Battalion 2 requesting second alarm (Engines 10 & 1 to the scene. Ladder 11 was dispatched but since three trucks responded initially, Ladder 11 returned to service.) Command reported fire extended into the cock-loft area of the structure.

11:33 - Training 3 responding as second safety officer.

11:34 - Deputy 1 now on scene and command, Battalion 2 now operations officer.

11:36 - Engine 1 may be assigned as RIT per dispatch, Engine 10 to stage out at the corner.

11:38 - Operations assigning Engine 10 as the new RIT unit. Engine 1 members to the front of the building upon arrival.

11:43 - Operations reporting 5 engines, 3 trucks and the rescue operating on the scene. Trucks are opening up, fire still in the cock-loft, four lines in operation.

11:55 - Command reporting bulk of the fire knocked down, making great progress.

12:06 - Recall of alarm sounded.
