Position Summary:

Fitch & Associates is seeking an Operations Director candidate for its client of over 240 employees located in East Texas. The Operations Director serves on the senior leadership team with a direct reporting relationship to the Chief Executive Officer. This position has direct responsibility for the leadership, direction, and administration of all emergency medical operations to ensure the continued accomplishment of mission, values, strategic goals, and culture.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, management of the operations leadership team; oversight of Champion EMS emergency medical services operations; conduct meetings between various emergency medical services agencies; develop written agreements; prepare and present emergency medical services assessments and recommendations on a periodic basis, and as needed. Overall responsibility for clinical care, staffing, service satisfaction, program planning, budget management, and other areas as needed.

Position Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess a proven history of excellence in emergency medical services strategic planning, patient service, leadership, operations management, and specific required competencies further described in the job position description. Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Masters degree in health care administration, business administration or a related field, preferred. At least three (3) to five (5) years of progressive management experience in a related health care organization – with administration, financial management, and operations, preferred. Minimum of five (5) years EMS management of operations, vehicle operations, contract negotiation, City, County and State political relations, and insurance billing, preferred. Extensive Clinical (5 years minimum) and EMS management background (5 years minimum). Proven experience managing EMS operations with at least 10,000 emergency and non-emergency transports utilizing rural EMS deployment and coverage plans is strongly preferred. Knowledge of all related federal, state, local and EMS transport industry safety/regulatory practices.

Must never have been fined, excluded from, or have had any restitution obligations from a federal health care program, or any governing agencies overseeing the operations of emergency medical services. Current certification or license as a Texas Paramedic, required.* (*NREMT-P or Paramedic certifications from other states will be considered as conditional compliance as long as Texas Paramedic certification or license is obtained within 90 days of offer).
