I don't know if Jeff Pells applied for the job, but if he did I'm surprised didn't get it; seems like he's been a Deputy Chief forever.

Fairview Fire District Chief Tory Gallante is moving across the Town of Poughkeepsie to become the

Arlington Fire District's first career chief.

Arlington officials announced Gallante's hiring Friday and said he will begin work April 22.
