Fund Raising Ideas

6 posts in this topic

Folks,

Looking to do some different fund raisers for our company. One of the ideas that has been brought up is a casino night. Have any of you been involved in one for your departments? If so what was the outcome and the overall experience?

Also if you have contact information for the company that came out and set it up for you that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike Gallo Jr.

Don't have any info about a casino night fundraiser but some other ideas that have been very successful are a fund drive (PM for info), boot drop (not time consuming and big profits), chicken BBQ (inexpensive with big profits)...there are a lot of good fundraising methods out there.

Good luck!

Do your research prior to hosting a casino night.... There may be certain laws/ordinances that must be adhered to in order to provide gambling services.

Carnivals, auctions, boot drives, breakfasts and dinners, are all possibilities. Having someone set it up for you will obviously cut into revenue so try and do as much work for yourselves as possible.

Thanks guys,

I have looked into a few of those, we do an annual pancake breakfast as well as a Ham dinner. But as far as boot drives/coin drops, we are not permitted to do them by state law and town ordinance against it, and the town police and board are very against it unfortunately.

I understand that there area certain laws for gambling events. Just looking for information on it at this time.

Thanks again and any input helps.

Mike

Our dept looked into a Casino night a while back. There was alot of legal stuff needed, dealers needed to be trained/certified by the state if I remeber correctly, and permits needed to be had. It looked to be alot of legal type work done before anything got off the ground.
