Pleasantville - MVA Rollover w/Pin 7-5-2011

Pictures of our MVA w/PIN from the other day. The vehicle as travelling southbound on the Saw Mill Parkway and flipped into the northbound lane. Res-Q-Jacks were used to stabalize the vehicle prior to the patient being extricated by PFD.

Great shots and nice cut! Was the pt. still restrained on arrival? and excellent use of the resqjacks!

Thanks. The patient was still restrained upon our arrival but required someone to hold him up since gravity was working against him.. We did not cut the seatbelt until we were ready to remove the patient. I worked the tool on the call. Originally, we were going to put a relief cut in the drivers side of the roof so that we could just fold it back after we cut the A pillars. We then decided to just keep cutting down to remove the front portion of the roof. The Res-Q-Jacks are a great too! I personally love to use them. But thye can be a hassle and time consuming to set up unless you are familiar wiht them...but overall they are easy to use.
