NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals for the following project:

1750GPM PUMPER FIRE APPARATUS

VILLAGE OF SLEEPY HOLLOW

NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Office of the Village Clerk of the Village of Sleepy Hollow until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591 at which time and place said sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the purchase of a 1750GPM PUMPER FIRE APPARATUS.

Any bid received after closing time will be returned unopened.

Specifications are on file in the Office of the Village Clerk on and after Monday, November 21, 2011 during normal business hours.

Specifications may be obtained from the Office of the Village Clerk, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York upon payment of a $50.00 non-refundable fee for each set. Check should be made payable to the Village of Sleepy Hollow.

A Bid Bond, certified check or bank check made payable to the Village of Sleepy Hollow in the amount of 10% of the base bid must accompany the bid proposal.

A Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required.

All bids must be submitted in duplicate in sealed envelopes plainly marked Bid for "1750GPM PUMPER FIRE APPARATUS".

All bids must be accompanied by a non-collusive bidding certification executed pursuant to section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.

In case of ambiguity or lack of clarity in stating prices in the Proposal, the Village reserves the right to accept the most advantageous construction thereof to the Village or to reject the Proposal.

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and waive any or all informalities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date bids are opened.

More than likely Engine 87 since their current rig is a 1991 model. (Plus I think it still says North Tarrytown on it.)

$ 50.00 for a bid package. There's a customer who knows what they want and are willing to pay for it.

Yes I'm sure you're right. Engs. 85 and 86 both had their rigs replaced within past ten years;
