Potsdam FD - Mock DWI Drill 5-23-2012

Potsdam Fire Department and Potsdam Rescue Squad held a mock DWI drill at the Potsdam Central School campus for students to watch. Story and pictures found on Potsdamfire.org.

On May 23, 2012 at approximately 0845hrs. the Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department and Potsdam Rescue Squad responded to a reported 2 vehicle head-on motor vehicle accident with serious injuries and entrapment. Units arrived on scene and found one person ejected from a vehicle, and two additional persons trapped in the wreckage.

I think that these are a great tool and send a powerful message to kids, more of these should be conducted at local school. Even if they stop one person from driving while intoxicated, it is a big success.
