Came across one of these the other day being demo'd at a local hardware store. It looks like it could easily be broken, but it's pretty strong surprisingly.

I would think you could conventionally force the door, or take a sledge hammer to the bottom of the door. Thoughts?

One major flaw with this type of lock is if you loose you smartphone or drop it and it wont work, you can't get into your apartment.

I would agree with the notion that a 10 pound maul to the bottom of the door a few times should do the trick to break it or force the door to bend around it. But how do you know that type of lock is there?
