American LaFrance in trouble?

Ok all, I finally heard Frieghtliner is looking to sell off ALF's assets and have them move out of the S.C. plant. Are they in trouble or just time to change the guard again, like they have done so many times in their history? I hate to see them go under again, but did they get too big too soon?
