MY CONTACT WITH C 2263 REPORTS EXTERIOR ATTACK BUILDING OLD ABANDONED HOUSE WELL OFF THE ROAD UNITS MAKING THE ATTACK FROM DIRUBBO DR AS WELL AS LOCUST AVE.

YORKTOWN PEEKSKILL AND VERPLANCK CALLED TO THE SCENE WITH MANPOWER TO ASSIST WITH OVERHAUL AND PACKUP

Eng. 254 made access up snow covered driveway to house (91 Locust Ave.). Eng 257, L-35 located on DiRubbo Dr with 2 hydrants hit feeding 5" supply line off L-35 into a manifold approx. 500' into woods which was broken down into (2) 2 1/2 inch lines a (1) 1 3/4 lines for exterior attack. Eng. 250 stoodby on Locust Ave. Cortlandt VAC stoodby at scene due to multiple hits for Mohegan EMS with assistance from Yorktown VAC and Peekskill VAC. Manpower from Peekskill, Yorktown and Verplanck FD's.

wow! Great Pics! Was there any Ladder operations going on, because It didn't look so in the pictures?

No ladder ops....driveway was real tight for apparatus. The driveway is windy, narrow and about 1,000 feet long. Eng. 254 had trouble gaining access due to the snow. With Eng. 257 and L-35 staged on DiRubbo Dr, the hose stretch and other equipment were closer even though it was through the woods. Another note: The house was currently under renovation and 2nd floor collapsed before arrival.
