The Irvington Fire Department, in partnership with Firehouse Solutions, is proud to announce the release of their new state-of-the-art website. The department protects the Village of Irvington, New York, which was named after the famous American author, Washington Irving. Washington Irving is best known for "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," in which the schoolmaster Ichabold Crane meets with a headless horseman, and "Rip Van Winkle," about a man who falls asleep for 20 years.

The Irvington Fire Department has been protecting the village and surrounding communities since 1880 and has recently celebrated their 125th anniversary. Today, they continue to operate through the pride of their volunteers. They currently operate two engines, a ladder truck, a rescue, a boat, and 3 command vehicles.
