I only read the article in the paper yesterday, I've been out of the loop. I know this isn't the place to post this, but it was really gut-wrenching to read about what happened. This officer was really something to pursue the suspect even after being mortally wounded. I urge everyone to say a prayer for his family and his brothers in blue during this devastating time.

My condolences to the Stewart family. Being a police officer in New York City is very tough job, you face danger everyday being in uniform regardless where ever you are police officer. Officer Stewart was killed by a brutal thug a person who has no regard for human life. Police every where face danger not only in NYC but everywhere, thats why people need to be thankful for them because they put their life on the line for everyone. I am thankful for the police because at least I know they are looking out for the good people and not people who break the law.
