Firefighter injured in hit and run

A firefighter from Wayne County was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital Tuesday night, after he was struck in a hit and run accident. 

It happened on Route 350 near Hennessy Road in Walworth. 

Police say the driver of a car struck the firefighter, who was directing traffic because the road was closed.

Then police say the driver drove off. 

Investigators on the scene tell News 10NBC the firefighter, whose name is not being released, had regained consciousness late Tuesday night at Strong.
