Sounds like your vendor does not know what he is talking about. I bet he did not even know that the HT1550XLS line has just been discontinued by Motorola either.

Scannermaster is gonna be pretty much useless for what he needs. Scannermaster basically handles scanners. This is a commercial two-way radio. 64MFJKK drop me a PM and I'll tell ya what you need to do to program a Vertex radio. I have a couple of VX800s and have experience programming Vertex radios.

From looking at the pictures with Hawthorne's trucks that someone recently posted, it appears that Hawthorne has 2 Type B Gamewell Diaphones on the roof.
