i just heard that new rochelle is getting 4 or 5 new police cars.

NEW ROCHELLE FIRE DEPT. JUST FINISHED ACCEPTING BID FOR A NEW MASS CASUALTY UNIT BOX TRUCK THE BOX LENGTH IS: 14-FOOT 7.5 THE OVERALL LENGTH IS EXCEED TO BE 21.5 FEET LONG.

Yonkers receives additional funds in part because of its population and because it is an MMRS city (one of only a handful in the State). New Rochelle has, over the years, received DHS funds for a variety of projects and will continue to (I imagine).

There are 43 municipalities in Westchester County and this thread is not intended for 42 posts asserting that Town, Village, City X should have received a grant or deserves it more than any other jurisdiction.

Westchester County received $2 million dollars and I'm sure some of that money will be headed for New Rochelle. No need to be angry!

sorry for being angry but new rochelle needs money and once again iam sorry.

I guess in looking at the big picture this is a good thing. But, I have to question just a little bit the need to spend almost 25% of this grant on two boats. It seems to me that the money could be spent more wisely. Does anyone else agree? Any other thoughts?

i agree you can just buy one boat and be happy whit one.

what about giving new rochelle some money like 1.5 million for new rochelle they need it more then yonkers. :angry:

the fire Commissioner said that the new r-4 is coming in late summer or early full.

Its WSOTF Squad 2 and if it is a confirmed 10-75 up the North end of NR they will be the FASTeam(4th due). Do not any way ,shape or form be confused by their Squad designation not like Squad 11 in the Y-O.. They are an Engine Co. unless the WSOTF calls NR for our Squad.

As for the Rescue Co., Nope not every day and if it is there is a Boss and FF assigned. But It is in the works to be "In Service" full time.

new rochelle Squad 22/engine 22 goes on every fire in the whole city of new rochelle.

FDNY has placed an order for 27 75 foot Aerialscopes. At the present time, no 95 footers are on order. All willl be on tandem rear axle.

when do you think the FDNY will put the tower ladders in service.

All Aerialscopes built and delivered from this point foward will feature Aerialscope II technoology and features.

are they 75 foot tower ladder or 95 footers.

new rochelle engine 25 is a 2009 Pierce Arrow XT not a 2008.

the new rochelle engine 25 will go in to service tomorrow.

the new engine 25 is going to be in the next issue of fire apparatus journal Magazine.

i think they found more money to last them for a while or ask the new rochelle fire Commissioner

because new rochelle Rescue 4 is in service most of the time now new rochelle fire dept is trying a pilot project
