  1. Fire was caused by a shorted out hand dryer in the bathroom. Very little fire but a whole lot of smoke which caused the 10-75 transmission.
  2. The fire was started from a lit cigarette resting on a window sill that fell between the wall. Minor damage to the house.
  3. Reason for exrtication was that a Saturn was T-boned on the passenger side where a large woman was sitting in the front seat and it was impossible to move the women unless we cut both doors off.

Frequency: 46.26 Units Operating: 2481, 2482, R9, E84, 63B-2, Hawthorne Utility Description Of Incident: Fatal Mva with roll over and extrication Writer: VFDL17 For the third time in as many months a fatal accident occured on the same part of the Sprain Brook Pkwy. This accident also occured the same way the two others did. A driver going north bound lost control of her car after clipping another car and shot across the median into south bound traffic. This women was killed when her Honda was struck and flipped over. The Kia that hit her was then hit again by an Acura and compacted so much causing the passenger seat to meet the driver seat forcing the driver half way out her window. Valhalla and Hawthorne were dispatched at 06:54. R-9, E-84, Hawthorne's utility and ambulance along with Valhalla VAC responded. 87A-1 was also on scene. R-9 crew extricated the woman out of her Kia as E-84 laid down foam as the Honda's gas tank ruptured and spilled it's contents. The female in the Kia was taken to WCMC with critical injuries and the female in the Acura was also taken there with serious injuries because her head went through the windshield. Valhalla remained on scene until the fatal victim and the car was removed due to the amount of gasoline in the car.
