    All these comments are correct

    I commend NYS Assemblyman Pretlow for bring it up

    It is something that should be very strongly considered in Westchester County

     

    However there is way to many people that are "feeding off" this current situation and/or system. Such as salaries, benefits, perks, power, authority, positions just to name a few

     

    It is sad but true - It won't change

    Mr. Cory Rossi was elected to the position of:
    Fire Commissioner
    For the five year term
    January, 2016, through December, 2020 in the annual elections
    of the Vista Fire District No. 1 held on the evening of
    Tuesday December 8th, 2015 at the Vista Firehouse on Route 123 in
    the Town of Lewisboro, New York. Mr. Rossi received 56 votes of
    the 95 ballots cast, with 37 votes going to candidate Ms. Judy
    Saslow and two contested ballots left uncounted.

    About the bill...

    This proposed budget bill mind you is from the governor's office and still has to be approved by the state legislature. First and foremost we in reference to EMS as a whole should not be having a pity party for ourselves if you review the entire budget there are proposed dramatic changes and cuts throughout state government.

    These proposals should come at no big surprise – All levels of government (federal/state/county/local/districts) are going through dramatic changes and cuts.

    We want a state government that is more efficient and that will reduce the bureaucracy that plagues this state. The other thing is the State of New York has no money!!!!
