  2. Nate thanks for posting!!!
  3. The chassis was ordered on Monday June 18th, expected 90 day deliver for the chassis and it's looking like December/January delivery of the completed vehicle.
  4. No idea why only one bid was submitted, 3 of the last 4 vehicles we have purchased we have only received one bid and the other there were two bids.
  5. I am pleased to announce that the Wassaic Fire District at the monthly meeting of June 13, 2012 accepted the bid from Firematic Manufacturing for the new pumper. A front mount 4x4 CAFS pumper to be built on Long Island by the same company that built our B.R.A.T, attached see the approved cads drawing of the unit, as with the B.R.A.T I shall post several pictures of the process as we proceed with unit. To view drawing, open link, go to View, then rotate counterclockwise! Wassaic FC NY 61212.pdf

Wassaic Tanker 228, Dover Truck 1, Pawling Truck 1, Wassaic Developmental Center Engine 1, Dover Engine 7, Wassaic Engine 226, Wassaic Tanker 228 before refurbish.
  7. So far there has been $50,000 spent on her, $30,000 grant money and $20,000 in fire company monies
  8. The fire company chose not to continue with the FWD and sold it to 4 of our members for a $1.00, sadly that was OUR first new piece of equipment and should have been done prior to the Seagraves but because we got a $30,000 grant for the Seagraves that project was moved forward and we just don't have the $$$ nor resources to do both, the members that have it will surely make sure it will get done though.
  9. In service
  10. At the factory as a brand new rig for Port Chester Fire Department
  11. It finally made it back home a few weeks ago and was used to carry Brother Gustave Deister to his final resting place last week, she's a bit rough looking at this point but should be looking pretty sharp this summer, As soon as I can get up and get some more shots of some of the details of "Old Bets" I will.
  12. Welcome Joe and best of luck
  13. headed over to take some pictures, come on out and see some of the local fire history!
  14. Chief Post of the East Fishkill Fire District reported that they are sending a tanker and utility, as always EFFD is there to assist those in need, thanks Chief and the members of EFFD!
  15. I have a 2011 Kawi Brute Force, looking to ride on the weekends so if you're in Dutchess and have some places to ride hit me up, I would love to get it out on the trails and use it for something other than plowing.
  16. Millerton Fire under the direction of Chief Jason Watson responded to a cattle truck into a silo hopper and building off Route 22 just North of the Webutuck High School. The truck hauling cows to the fair went off the road and traveled several hundred feet through two fields before going down an embankment and striking and going under a dust silo entraping the driver. I arrived several minutes into the operation and have no patient update or cause of the accident Incident alert: http://www.emtbravo.net/index.php/topic/42876-millerton-vehicle-into-bldg-wentrapment-8-21-11/page__pid__244401#entry244401
  17. thanks for sharing Chief, looking forward to seeing your delivery shots!
  18. Both need to be answered by FiftyOnePride (51-3), I had gotten there pretty much after all of the stabilization was completed with the exception of one of the struts.
  19. Thanks Seth and I will see what I can take tonight of 51 at our training.
  20. Seth does this mean you are asking for a photo shoot of 69-51 which I can tonight at our extrication drill?
  21. Again as I have stated before, here is another thread that gets into the back and forth of arguing over pictures of an incident and the second guessing of the responders that were actually on the scene. I had stopped posting pictures just for this reason but thought this was an unique incident that was handled professionally by "everyone" that responded and I thought by sharing the incident in photos it would show that no matter how much we train and practice, something comes along that is a challenge and forces us to think outside the box. Now I wish I hadn't posted them and just shared them at the critique with the Battalion 4 tomorrow.
  22. As I posted with the pictures I said I did not have a patient update and no one that responded to the scene gave any patient update, he did not RMA and was transported to the hospital, that's all I will say. I took the pictures of the cow long after he was transported so your statement regarding the medic working on the cow is baseless.
  23. The buzz I had heard was that the driver "blacked out", The cows were picked up only a mile or so from the accident so he hadn't been back on the road that long at the time of the accident and he never "braked". Brian they really did do an excellent job of securing the hopper, the cross training Battaloin 4 does together surely paid off at this call.
  24. Josh thanks for you insights as usual and it was an excellent job by all on the scene for sure.
