  6. I looked at the location on my phone right after the initial page went out and had the same general reaction. Prior to hearing that water was an issue, I assumed that water would not be an issue since there are tow large bodies of water nearby. The only thing I can assume is that the land between the road and the bodies of water are not firefighter friendly or that the shoreline of the bodies of water are not suitable for drafting (ie cliff, etc).
  7. Probably a stupid question but... How do I change the picture that is visible on my profile? This is not the Avatar...the Avatar is the picture available when you comment or create threads or write I/As...Im trying to change the profile page picture. Thanks and Merry Christmas. Stay Safe, Madison

  11. Perhaps it is possible to follow the online poker structure...you can join to participate or you can simply view the chat to observe/monitor.
  12. Is it possible to make it so more than 5 people can use the chat at once? I got an error message saying it was at capacity and it indicated 5 active users.
  13. Just heard that BHFD TL57 is waiting for a tow truck...any one know details?
  14. Another fine job by the dispatchers at 60-Control throughout the incident.
  15. Was wondering the same thing. I was in Valhalla at the FTC pumping for the FF1 live burn today during the beginning hours of the fire and I kept looking over to see if FieldCom was going...never did.
  16. Truly terrible...losing everything and having to rebuild from scratch twice at the same location. Makes me feel for the family.
  17. I was going to say, NY10570 and a few others are employed by FDNY...

  20. My home department uses a red tag for identification of all members and a green tag (in addition to the red) for interior members. Each rig has a key rig with a red tag that identifies the rig. When responding, the crew clips their red tag to the rigs tag. This is then given to the Officer on the rig, who in turn gives it to the IC once on scene where it is left at the command post. The green tags are left outside of the point of entrance into the structure. If a safety Officer or Chief is at the point of entry they take the tags and put them on a clipboard or clip them to their gear. If no one is at the point of entry. these are on the floor to the left of the door.
