  1. Beautiful Truck..... Just curious as to what you guys have in the bed??? Not a shot at you guys but I saw one similar that was a waste of use as it just had a scott pack and a radio. Any other pics? Thanks
  2. Put that in your MVT...... Awesome, for public and Emerency Services
  3. At Least you are ok Jim'Bo Could have been alot worse"
  4. So it was vented before Fairview even got on the road. To all involved good job!!!! You did what you could with what you had. To anyone questioning or throwing shots PM me and we can get you a membership application.
  5. The camera man took 300 pictures of the same shots, put the camera down and grab a hose. These knit wits need stories that bad that you have to degrade emergency services personnel on a daily basis... This is why I stopped receiving the paper. The Poughkeepsie Urinal (Journal).
  6. For real the owners son is a real______! Well you know.
  7. Nice shots, Mark The Brat
  8. While I agree that we need to pinch pennies in Dutchess County I believe we are cutting funding in the wrong places. Bill Steinhaus would rather pave the woods, (Rail Trail) than keep the streets and taxpayers safe... The Rail Tail is a great project, when we have the money. At this time we need to put that money being spent on the higher priorities. I see the construction workers working on the Rail Trail everyday. Lets cut that project for a while and put some of these Firefighters, EMS, Fire Investigation, and Police personnel back where they should be!!!!! Scrooge lays off Firefighters, Police and EMS personnel just before the holidays. Shame on you Boob Kratchet.I hope you wont have to be visited by 3 ghosts. The Ghosts of Firefighter, EMS, and Police past!!!!! Sorry watched it with the kids last night
  9. Happy Safe Thanksgiving to all !!!!! Dont Burn the Bird
  10. They have had this for a little while now, and have done some driver training. I believe it is almost done with some minor changes. The LED's were done either this week or last week. Pretty cool a Tower, Quint, 2 Engines, and a Rescue out of the same house. Station 1 Best of luck!!!!!!
  11. Mark awesome Pics. Especially of the batteries from the Pole Box. Just another thing to think and remind ourselves about..... Lot of Hazards there. How long did it take to get the power company there having a victim entrapped?
  12. I know but I cant say publicly... If you want PM me and I will fill you in.....
  13. County Executive Steinhaus plans on cutting more Dutchess County Sheriff/Corrections positions out of his budget... Taking school resource officers out of the schools??? Seriously we have enough problems in the schools as it is. Look at Newburgh for example, (No knock on Newburgh) the officers in the schools are the best things we have going right now. http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/article/20101109/NEWS01/11090324/Steinhaus-plans-job-cuts-at-jail--Sheriff-s-Office The rumor mill in the Dutchess County Emergency Services is that Executive Steinhaus will also cut the Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division. A very valuable and frequently used asset to Dutchess County. How about some of you politicians take a Pay Cut. This is not a time to cut emergency funding.
  14. Not to get off of the Emergency Services venue but seriously. Washington referees may face ban for charity pink whistles A group of high school football officials in Washington state were trying to support breast cancer research while working this week's games, so they made a pledge to donate all game checks to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Then, to top off the charitable gesture, they announced they would all use pink whistles during the games. Every one has their own opinion but this seems to me to be a very thoughtful gesture. Hats off to the Referees!!!!!!! http://rivals.yahoo.com/highschool/blog/prep_rally/post/Washington-referees-may-face-ban-for-charity-pin?urn=highschool-279246
  15. My Thoughts and Prayers go out to John's family and fellow officers of the Teaneck Police Department. "A Policeman was killed last night" A policeman was killed last night. He died while protecting your rights. His creed was to protect and serve. This fate he didn't deserve. A mom and dad have lost a son. So many other jobs he could've done. His wife and kids are left alone. Their daddy won't be coming home. His fellow officers are hurt so deep. For a fallen brother they weep. The morning paper will print a story. About a policeman who died in glory. The flags will fly at half mast. Politicians and citizens will seem sad. The funeral is tomorrow at noon. It will all be over very soon.
  16. Beautiful..... looks like it was spec'ed nice for what they equip. No compartment space going to waste with good placement of there equipment. Best of Luck!!!!!

  23. Pleasant Valley recently took delivery of there new Kenworth Tanker. The tanker holds 3,000 gallons of wet stuff. 750gpm pump. It has your main rear quick dump as well one left and right all electric of course, These can be operated from inside the cab as it has a backup camera in the cab which will assist in putting the water in the right place. Awesome on cold nights. It also has a Heater for inside the pump cabin. If it would only warm the hose connections and dry hydrants. This Kenworth, replaces a 88 GMC top kick. The old GMC carried 1650 gallons. I have more photos that I will post today, this was just a little tease.
