Parking provided at Hudson County Braddock Park 79th or 91st Streets at Bergenline Avenue, 4 blocks east of the church. Local police will advise you-please cooperate. Bus transportation will be available or you may walk. Funeral Thursday, September 14, 2006 Assemble at 10am for the 11am funeral mass Our Lady of Fatima RC 8016 Kennedy Boulevard (Between 81st and 82nd Streets) North Bergen, NJ 07047 Note: No parking in or around the area of the church. Parking provided at Hudson County Braddock Park 79th or 91st Streets at Bergenline Avenue 4 blocks east of the church local police will advise you. Following the mass an honor procession will cause you to march past the Brother's firehouse Quarters of Engine Co. 13 and then terminating at Braddock Park for the collation. Absolutely no fire apparatus - please wear the Class A uniform of the day.
  9. Parade steps off @ 2PM. Line up in Stony Point along Route 210 [exit 15 of the P.I.P.]. March down Route 210 toward Route 9W, make a right on Route 9W and wind up @ Kay Fries Drive. Looks like it's going to be a nice day so I hope some people make the trip up to Stony Point. Since I will be marching that means no photos. My company is the last in the 2nd division, so snap a few photos of Central Nyack if ya wouldn't mind !
  10. It was basically a show & tell for the press. Fire Departments & Local Government were the only ones invited. They had all 13 rigs lined up, then after the ceremony was over, we asked each rig to drive across the field and pose in front of the New York City Skyline and then in front of a building in better sun light. I shot a total of 142 pictures. Was quite a nice day. Rescue-1 provided food & beverages as well. Elizabeth FD also put on a nice demonstration of some of the skills they learned by getting USAR certified.

  23. Here are some photos taken yesterday [sept.7th, 2006] at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. They are of the brand new RESCUE-1 Rescue trucks that are part of the Urban Area Security Initiative [uASI] for the Cities of Newark and Jersey City, and the Counties of Hudson, Essex, Bergen, Morris, Union & Passaic. This newly formed Metro USAR Strike Team consists of 9 Fire Departments and nearly 360 members and will be part of NJ Task Force One. It came about after 31 months of planning & training.
