  1. Sorry for the bad news gang. I know some of you came over to the Expo in years past. My wife and I are expecting Twins in mid April, so I just don't have the time to dedicate to producing an Expo for 2010 as chairman of the committee. Hope to do 2011 though.

  3. Hope to get a photo of it during the daylight in the near future, but here is a photo of the brand new Newark, NJ RES1CUE, a 2009 E-One. The photo was taken last night down at Liberty State Park in Jersey City for the Tribute in Lights on 9-11-09.

  9. I have been to the Hall of Flame in AZ twice and Andy's apparatus collection is well over 100 pieces which is definitely more then the Hall of Flames. The Hall of Flame is definitely worth the trip though, a really nice museum ! A few photos from the museum:
  10. It's back, but still plagued with problems ! The DEV's really need to fix this game quick before people lose interest !

  13. $75 is a joke. Let's see the photo that won !
  14. Your right about the rain part. Where I shoot at Memorial Park there is a gazebo that I set up under when it is raining. If it's not raining, or stops, I go closer to the water. Ya gotta find a place that has cover !
  15. Nice shots Stuart. Thanks for posting them !
  16. Anyone go out and shoot during last nights storm ? Here are a few photos I took as the storm crossed the Hudson River from NJ into Westchester. Not even a drop of rain in Rockland !
  17. I started playing yesterday. Worked great the 1st day but today some functions seem to work only half the time. I can't even do any Challenges. The next screen never loads when I click on it. Runs only working half the time as well. Weird !
  18. I have owned a Lightning Trigger for about 5 years now. Keep it in my camera bag with me at all times [except in the winter]. If you price it out over a few years it is worth it. Just look at a few of the images I have posted ! Yes, that's me in the photo, was hoping for a bigger bolt behind me Another photo from my honeymoon in Aruba Another photo taken from Memorial Park in Nyack looking out over the Hudson River & Tappan Zee Bridge
  19. I use one. You can see what incredible results you get !
  20. Keep trying, you will get a good one 1 of these days. A few more of my captures ! My honeymoon in Aruba 10/01/07 Nasty storm outside my hotel in Weatherford, Texas 05/26/09 Storm near Bennett, Colorado 05/22/09
  21. Unfortunately I was unable to photograph last nights storm as I was working overtime. It was certainly an amazing storm and I am pissed I missed it. Lightning was insane to say the least. Photographing lightning is not any easy task. There are several ways to do it. Having a tripod definitely helps. Every storm is different and depending upon how close the lightning strikes are, how frequent they are, and how bright they are, that will determine what settings you should use. This photo was taken at Memorial Park in Nyack overlooking the Hudson River & the Tappan Zee Bridge on Sunday night July 26th. It is a 2 second exposure at I believe f5.6.
  22. Last Saturday, July 18th, I was fortunate enough to be invited to a special "Homecoming". The Columbian Engine Company of the Spring Valley, NY Fire Department welcomed home it's original 1868 L.Button Hand Pumper for a visit. The hand pumper known to the Columbian's as "The Man Killer" is privately owned by Vincent Jarosz of Newmarket, NH. Mr. Jarosz was kind enough to bring down the pumper for the Columbian's to see and operate. A little history about the Columbian's and "The Man Killer": These 2 Photos Courtesy Columbian Engine Company, Spring Valley, NY FD

  25. Agreed. Why not weed out the junk accounts ! Across the river if you don't log in once every 6 months your account gets deleted. No need for dead weight !
